On March 2017 and 2018, WFWP-Ukraine representatives took part in the Commission on Status of Women (CSW) in the United Nations, New York. CSW is the annual UN event that promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women.

 

On November 2-5, WFWP-Ukraine representatives took part in the European summit “Role of Women Leaders and Mothers to Facilitate Integration and Cohesion in Europe”. The summit took place in Portugal and gathered more than 120 women, active governmental and public figures from almost all European nations. The program started on November 2 with the session in the Parliament, National Assembly of Portugal.

Our acquaintance with friends from the humanitarian headquarters of the All-Ukrainian organization for internally displaced people continues for several years. Over the years, we have met with different people who have experienced stress from constant relocations. Physically, they are with us, but in their hearts they remain on that territory, where there may be no return.

In the past autumn holidays, the Women's Federation for World peace held another master class: "We are painting a picture with acrylic paints" for the children of the All-Ukrainian Organization for IDP.
The pizzeria "Vesuvio", located in the shopping center "Global", and its owner Oksana Kmelevskaya, opened its doors to us.

On July 18, 2017, at Charity Fund (CF) Caritas-Kyiv, headed by Director Roman Syrotich, a project for parents with children from IDP (internally displaced persons), organized with the support of the Humanitarian Headquarters of the All-Ukrainian Organization for the Forced Migrants and the Women's Federation for World Peace was held.

Given the important role that women play in solving the problems our society is facing in this century, we are increasingly aware of the urgent need for a new vision and decisive leadership. That is why, on April 27, 2017, the "Women’s Federation for World Peace" (WFWP NGO) together with the Department of Military Education and Science, Social and Humanitarian Policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine held the 10th Annual International Conference in the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The International Conference was dedicated to Mother's Day on "The Role of Women in the 21st Century".

Dance groups from nine countries came to Kyiv to take part in the annual festival "Sunny chestnut ", organized by the Folk Dance Ensemble "Vitaminchyky". Solemn closing of the festival was held on May 29 in the October Palace, Kyiv City.

On May 27, 2016 "Euroland" gymnasium celebrated the last bell.
The three best graduates took part in the celebration greeted by about 40 first-graders.

On May 24, with the support of Women’s Federation for World Peace, there was a charity concert of Irina Persanova – a head of vocal and opera studio of Kiev Teachers’ House and the Creative association "Young Ukraine opera voices".
The concert was dedicated to Mother's Day and the International Day of Family and included the remarkable performances of Irina Persanova and talented young laureates of international competitions.

We all know that Japan is a country with one of the strongest education systems. This is due not only to successful schools, because education starts with the family. What is the secret of Japanese education? It was the topic of meeting with parents and school teaching staff of "Euroland" gymnasium, held on May 17, 2016.

On May 14 Obolonska embankment hosted charity fair that was held to support three people with disabilities: Tanya Lukashenko from the Kashperivka village, Olena Demenchuk - disabled lady from Kyiv and Tymchenko Danil, an internally displaced boy from Lugansk region. Our volunteers and Tanya Lukashenko prepared various hand-made products: Easter eggs, towels, soap eggs and much more.

On May 11, Women’s Federation became a partner in organizing holiday dated to Mother's Day and Victory Day in Culture house Darnytsa. The organizers congratulated the veterans of the Second World War, the Leningrad Blockade and SWW home front workers from Darnytsa region. All guests had sweet treats and concert program. However, what was the most valuable for veterans it is our memories of those years, love and respect from their descendants.

On April 28, 2016, WFWP-Ukraine held 9th international conference dated to Mother’s Day in Kyiv. The conference went in beautiful concert hall of Kyiv University of Boris Grinchenka. Around 500 people from different parts of the country became the event participants, including representatives of government structures and public organizations, embassies, prominent artists, educators, scientists. Maintaining its international status, the conference gathered guests from USA, Japan, UK, Austria and Belarus.
