On September 17 and 24, WFWP-Ukraine organized cultural and educational meetings with Japanese volunteers “East and West together”. Events dedicated to the International Day of Peace took place in capitals of Germany and Poland.
Local residents and Ukrainian families who were forced to stay in
Berlin as a result of the war, gathered together in Ukrainian cafe. Origami and calligraphy activities were prepared for them. Guests were treated with Ukrainian food and talked. A meeting in Warsaw was held in cooperation with the WFWP-Poland.
Representatives from Poland, Japan and Ukraine shared how they perceive today’s events in the world. They enjoyed Japanese food together. Nobuko Omori wrote the calligraphy of names participants, volunteer Keina presented kirigami and origami arts.
