Flowers for Mum
An online meeting for 20 children from large and single-parent families
On the eve of International Mother’s Day on 7 May, the Women’s Federation organised an online meeting for 20 children from large and single-parent families, internally displaced families and families of people with disabilities.
Together with Tetiana Hudenko, a psychologist at the Kyiv City Family Centre “Rodynnyi dim”, they made “Flowers for Mum” cards using an unusual technique — ordinary forks.
The Women’s Federation stays in touch with and cares for Ukrainian women, the keepers of family comfort and wellbeing. Their maternal strength is vital in today’s difficult times, when the war has forced most of them to leave their homes and keep their families, relatives, neighbours, colleagues and friends safe.
May every person in Ukraine and other countries soon be able to find protection and a safe place to live.
